​Jim started his professional career in law enforcement in 1982 serving in many different capacities. In March 2001, Jim was promoted to Lieutenant and worked as the Executive Officer (Assistant Police Chief) in the cities of Tamarac, Dania Beach, and North Lauderdale. In December 2006, he was named District Chief (Police Chief) of the Central Broward District. In February 2009 Jim was named Director of the Strategic Investigations Division (SID) and named to the South Florida HIDTA Board as a voting member. During his tenure in SID, he was the Security Co-chair of the 2010 Super Bowl committee and then Security Co-Chair of the 2011 Orange Bowl committee for Broward County.

 

During Jim’s 30-year career he earned a Master’s Degree in Criminology from Florida Atlantic University. He is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program from the Center for Advanced Criminal Justice Studies and in June of 2011, Jim graduated from the FBI National Academy Class 245 in Quantico, Virginia. In 2009 as supervisor of the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homeland Security Unit, Jim was granted secret security clearance by the FBI to be briefed on terrorism-related events through the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF).

Jim and his wife Jen Klaassens-Fondo are heavily involved in supporting our community. He is a board member of ARC Broward and a member of Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk. Also, Jim supports 211 Broward, as well as many local charitable events held within South Florida.

Steve has over 25 years of professional law enforcement experience during a career that started in 1989.  During his career, Steve held many assignments and ranks including overseeing many local and federal task forces such as the Multi-Agency Gang Task Force, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Metro Broward Drug Task Force, and the Broward Money Laundering Task Force among others. 

 

During Steve’s career, he attended hundreds of hours of advanced leadership training and earned his Master’s Degree in Executive Management from Saint Thomas University.  Additionally, Steve is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute Command Officer’s Development Course.

 

After retirement, Steve founded SIG 9 Global, a security and investigative agency that is based in South Florida, with the goal of providing extraordinary security and investigative solutions while providing first-class customer service.   Additionally, Steve was a contract security provider and consultant for the Miami Dolphins for several years and still provides a significant number of investigative resources to the organization.  Steve is currently the NFL Security Representative for South Florida. As part of that assignment, Steve oversees game day security operations for all Miami Dolphins home games and he has been part of the stadium security operations team for the past three Super Bowls.  Steve regularly provides security consulting and services to the league and other entities for a variety of events and meetings that are held routinely.  Steve has conducted numerous best practice audit assessments of many NFL stadiums and venues across the country.  Additionally, Steve is also the Soccer Security Agent for Major League Soccer assigned to the Inter Miami CF club.

Jessica L. Cady has obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Business Operations, a Master’s Degree in Business Management, and is a Forensic Psychology Ph.D. student. Jessica is a member of the National Collegiate Scholars and The National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi), due to her academic strides.  Amid her 20th year in the security industry, Jessica continues to build strong networking expansions with companies and clients to adjust, innovate, and service their security needs to an unparalleled level.   Jessica has studied, developed, and implemented an unprecedented company culture trend in the security industry for clients and employees.  This culture has established higher standards and proven higher retention for client and employee success.  Her passion for analytics has driven her to understand and reinvent the need for leadership and development in the upcoming workforce.

She oversees and leads an extraordinary Team who safeguards the SIG 9 Global brand, value chain, and culture which results in phenomenal employee/client retention and satisfaction.  Jessica identifies protection/security goals, objectives, and metrics consistent with corporate strategic plans. She manages the development and implementation of Global security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security. She specializes in Maritime Security and Structural Facilities (including the United States Seaports) that she has written various policies for, specializing in anti-terrorism.  Jessica oversees network security architecture, network access, creating policies, and employee education and awareness. She takes pride in securing facilities and evaluating vulnerabilities to remedy deficiencies and create high-level security plans for mitigation and improvement.  Additionally, Jessica works with other executives to prioritize security initiatives on risk management. She maintains relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
